Laura Funk
Laura Funk has offered spiritual care to children, adults, and seniors since 1990 as well as educational workshops, retreats, and seminars to groups in countless locations. She has been practicing Immanuel Prayer since 1999 and opened her private practice, Butterfly Journeys, in 2012 to share her gifts.
She served as associate pastor at Bethel Mennonite Church, Spiritual Director in Residence at Mennonite Church Manitoba, Chaplain at Beacon Hill Lodge, and a Servant Leader at Grain of Wheat Church-Community.
Laura meets regularly with her own spiritual director and peer supervision group.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry from Canadian Mennonite University. Additionally, she is licensed for ministry in Immanuel Prayer Therapy through the Immanuel Network, certified in supervision for spiritual direction through the Shekinah Formation Program, trained and certified in conflict resolution through the University of Winnipeg and Mediation Services, and is an ordained Spiritual Director through Mennonite Church Manitoba.
