A New Site

Just like a butterfly is a new creature as it first emerges from a cocoon, I feel like my wings are wet and tentative as I look over my new website. My designer, Anikó Szabó, has worked hard to make it beautiful and easy to navigate. I’m so excited! And I wonder, will anyone find it, like it, get to know me through it, enough to trust me with a contact? Will I get to walk alongside new people in their spiritual journeys because of it? I hope so! Because now, perhaps more than ever, we need people to hold space for us, to remind us to move away from fear toward love. Trust is a delicate thing. I know, I have had my trust broken terribly. And yet, through my own spiritual practices, I find ways to heal and move again. I was working recently with someone who developed the courage to offer this prayer, “Help me give this to You so that I can be filled with love again.” Wow. It took my breath away and moved me to tears. What a beautiful prayer. Yes… YES! That’s what can happen in a Spiritual Direction session. It’s hard work, but very worth it.
